Moving Around The World

Many people ask me what it's like to move around the world, and most of the time I really don't know what to say. Ever since I was little I've been moving around, from the north to the south of the country and back again. It's something I didn't pay much attention to since I was too small and I couldn't even remember what I ate for breakfast.

As I grew up I've noticed there was a pattern forming. Every time I would move, I'd start to get more attached to the country as if it would disappear when I left and everyone with it. I would cry, lock myself in a room or even unpack my stuff every time my mum did. It was like this for England, France and China.

But now that I'm older it's actually one of the only things I'm waiting for! In a few months I'll be moving back to France for College and though I'm not really a fan of the country (the cost, life style and all those sad people) I have to.

Moving so often requiers some organisation, which I definitely lack of when it comes to packing for a trip. To tell you the truth I've been living out of a 25 kilo suitcase and a carry on bag for 5 years now, and it's really not as easy as it seems. After all these years I still don't know what to pack, not to pack and how to make a suitcase properly so that all my life fits in.

Lots of people don't understand how anyone would want to live like this, always on the run (metaphor guys, I am not a criminal) and some keep telling me I'm so lucky at my age to have been on nearly every continent, learned so many languages and faced so many cultures. The truth is I am very lucky but at the same time (and I'm not complaining) I've missed so many things a person my age would have done.

Just to finish this off, I just want to say everyone should try this a little even if you don't change countries or continent having been brought up in an international family, meeting people from other countries really made me a better person than I was before. It opened my eyes and made me realize how lucky I am.
